Quality Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Quality Engineer to join our Chartboost Monetization team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining acceptance criteria for feature development and implementing end-to-end test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed applications. Your main goal will be to ensure all applications are fully tested and instrumented to drive and measure optimal customer experience. Additionally, you will collaborate with product owners on release planning and testing scope, write test cases, and continuously improve the test process. A degree in computer science or a related field, along with 3-5 years of industry experience, is required for this position.

Define acceptance criteria for feature development

Develop and implement end to end test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed applications throughout the full software development lifecycle

Ensure all appropriate applications are fully tested and instrumented to drive and measure optimal customer experience

Work within an agile development environment with engineers, other testers, and product owners to scope, test, and ensure stability and deliver world-class platform solutions

Collaborate with and assist product owners on release planning and testing scope

Play an active role in the quality of production software

Write test cases and maintain test coverage to the most recent changes in development in conjunction with engineering to help ensure the highest possible testing coverage

Help to continuously improve the test process

• Degree in computer science or related field with 3-5 years of industry experience
• 3+ years experience with software testing, and debugging skills
• Solid understanding of Mobile Testing on iOS, Android or both
• Experience writing and executing Test plans on any test management tool
• Ability to learn quickly
• Open and collaborative communication style
• Knowledge of testing and quality assurance methodologies and processes
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• System-level thinking and interdisciplinary work
• Efficient task management and commitment to meeting deadlines
• Interest in continuous learning and new technologies
• Experience in testing production-quality server software (a plus)
• Experience with Charles Proxy or other logging tools (a plus)
• Experience in testing on mobile devices for both iOS and Android (a plus)
• Experience in real-time communication over IP (a plus)
• Experience in analyzing log files (a plus)
• Knowledge of web technologies (a plus)
