This position is a replacement for a period of 12 to 18 months, with the possibility of full-time tenure depending on the needs of the organization and the performance of the candidate.

Requirements

  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience as a quality control technician.
  • College diploma (D.E.C.) in science or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to lift loads of up to 20 lbs.
  • Fluency in French and English to communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (around 5°C).
  • Team spirit, autonomy and sense of organization.
  • Ability to evolve in a dynamic, fast and constantly changing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the food industry (asset).

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality tests on food products.
  • Sample finished products when required and ensure the traceability of samples.
  • Rigorously record and document data related to sampling.
  • Ensure communication and follow-up with the third-party warehouse.
  • Approve and allocate raw materials according to established procedures.
  • Ensure that the release of raw materials and finished products is completed in a timely manner.
  • Support the department during internal and external inspections and audits.
  • Document and record results according to instructions and standards in accordance with
  • Perform Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspections on the production floor.
  • Conduct weekly environmental swabs.
  • Provide training to new employees in quality and food safety.
  • Participate in and support the department's continuous improvement projects.
  • Perform any other related tasks as required by operational needs.
