About The Position

We are looking to fill a future vacancy for a Canada Quality Assurance (QA) Technician (Entry Level) to join our team in Brantford, Ontario at our Brantford Mixing Centre (BRMC). As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will ensure compliance to Health Canada requirements for all imported regulated P&G products including but not limited to: Drug, Natural Health Product, Medical Devices and Food. You will follow all site Safety Requirements and company Purpose, Values, Principles. Demonstrate Mastery in Canadian Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and daily work processes. Execute with Excellence. Act as a positive influence to team culture and drive system improvements. Demonstrate partnership with other business partners to reduce losses or risks. Other Key Responsibilities include reviewing and releasing regulated products imported and distributed by the P&G Brantford Mixing Centre (BRMC), coordinating with multi-functionals to ensure timely release of new product initiatives, developing work process improvements, and developing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Willingness to work on-site (warehouse environment) full-time
  • Demonstrate ability to drive improvements in day-to-day Quality work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work as a good team player.
  • Strong problem-solving skills – ability to identify and resolve issues/conflicts effectively
  • Strong communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong computer skills in varied applications including SAP, Veeva (asset)
  • Strong digital fluency with tools like PowerBI and Microsoft office software (asset)
  • Knowledge of Canadian drug and natural health products regulations (asset)
  • Lift, lower, carry, push & pull objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to flex, extend, and rotate neck
  • The ability to work at heights & climb stairs/ladders/platforms, etc., on and around equipment.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time.
  • Surface: Concrete, gravel, asphalt (uneven surfaces), and equipment.
  • Twist bend at the knees, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach.
  • The ability to meet the requirements of safe operation and personal safety, including wearing PPE and the ability to respond appropriately to various visual and audible alarms and signals
  • Operate a computer and keyboard to input and access data, and phone as well as scanners and electronic interfaces.
  • The ability to enter and work in enclosed areas.
  • The ability to work in extreme temperatures both hot and cold, generally in warehouse conditions including wide variances in temperature, dust and dirt.
  • Learn/Know terminology and functions of machine components.
  • Meet the requirements of Quality/Good Manufacturing Practices/Good Lab Practices, following applicable gowning/de-gowning when working in the lab.
  • Ability to position & move cases of product, bottles, connect hoses, handle glass flasks and bottles, etc. (may include grasping)
  • Work around strong odor of perfume or wear the appropriate PPE to eliminate the odor.
