About The Position

Moji Food is seeking a Quality Control Technician to oversee the safety and quality of dumpling production. The technician inspects raw ingredients, monitors production, and tests finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and food safety regulations. This position works one shift per day for 40 hours per week and pays $25.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience in Food Quality Control or a similar role in a commercial kitchen or manufacturing environment.
Ability to identify small inconsistencies in product appearance or paperwork.
Ability to instruct the production team to stop or adjust when products do not meet standards.

Nice To Haves

Basic understanding of HACCP or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP); training may be provided to the right person.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular production-line checks for dough thickness, filling weights, and pleat integrity.
Monitor and record critical control points, including internal meat temperatures and metal detector checks, in accordance with HACCP.
Verify machines and surfaces are properly cleaned and sanitized before production begins through pre-operation inspections.
Maintain daily temperature, batch-tracking, and quality-deviation logs and ensure audit readiness.
Inspect incoming ingredients for freshness and quality and manage First-In, First-Out (FIFO) rotation.
Perform taste, texture, and smell tests on cooked samples from each batch.
Firmly and professionally instruct the production team to stop or adjust production when a product does not meet standards.
