About The Position

The QC Lead provides day-to-day operational and technical leadership for the QC and microbiology laboratories. The role ensures that environmental monitoring, raw material, in-process, and finished product testing are performed in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations. The Lead coordinates laboratory staff, oversees data-integrity reviews, leads investigations, and mentors laboratory employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft applications.
• Communication, dexterity, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively under strict time constraints while multitasking.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English to communicate with supervisors and coworkers and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership, work planning, and task assignment for the QC/microbiology team to meet production and release schedules.
• Coordinate shift coverage, daily testing workflows, and turnaround-time tracking.
• Train, mentor, and assess the technical competency of junior and mid-level technicians.
• Oversee environmental monitoring programs for cleanrooms and critical manufacturing utilities.
• Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation, including incubators and autoclaves.
• Perform peer review and second-person verification of analytical test data, logbooks, and records for accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
