About The Position

The Quality Control Technician III performs advanced inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. The role leads quality control activities, mentors junior technicians, addresses complex quality issues, and contributes to continuous improvement and high-quality manufacturing outcomes. The technician evaluates technical drawings and specifications, maintains detailed inspection and test records, prepares quality reports, and supports compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. The position also supports audits, collaborates with cross-functional teams on quality issues, participates in root cause analysis, and helps maintain and troubleshoot inspection equipment. The Sterilization and Disinfection Control division manufactures and sells biological and chemical indicators used to assess sterilization and disinfection processes for the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and dental industries.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two to four years of experience in quality control or a related field, including significant experience performing advanced inspections and tests.
Extensive knowledge of quality control principles, techniques, and industry standards.
Proficiency with advanced measurement tools and quality control equipment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Excellent communication, organizational, and mentoring abilities.

Nice To Haves

Experience with quality improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using advanced measurement tools and equipment.
Evaluate complex technical specifications and drawings to verify product conformity and quality.
Maintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and quality-related issues.
Prepare and present quality reports that analyze trends and deviations and recommend corrective actions.
Identify, document, and address deviations from quality standards, collaborating with the Quality Control Supervisor or Manager on corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality policies.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and apply quality tools and methodologies to improve processes and product quality.
Train and mentor junior quality control technicians and demonstrate adherence to quality procedures.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve complex quality issues.
Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to improve product quality and reduce defects.
Ensure quality control equipment and tools are properly calibrated and maintained, and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
