About The Position

As we prepare for an upcoming retirement, KENT® Nutrition is excited to welcome a Quality Control Supervisor to our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the quality of incoming ingredients, finished products, and required documentation, while ensuring all operations align with internal quality standards and State and Federal regulations. Requirements

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
  • Computer skills, including the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Sharepoint.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Animal Feed current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
  • Knowledge of animal Food Safety Plans, Preventative Controls and Hazard Analysis.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 55lbs from floor to working height as job requires.
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with facility leadership, reporting any factors that impact feed quality and safety to plant management and Corporate QA.
  • Enforce safety and housekeeping standards, ensuring housekeeping activities are properly documented.
  • Lead monthly Quality Control committee meetings and maintain accurate documentation of meeting notes and actions.
  • Support and deliver training on SOPs related to feed quality and safety, including onboarding and training of new plant personnel.
  • Assist with internal, customer, and third‑party audits to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Verify adherence to SOPs for ingredient receiving, bulk feed transporters, housekeeping, and equipment cleanout; conduct mock recalls as required.
  • Manage quality records and documentation, including daily review of production records for accuracy and discrepancies.
  • Oversee incoming ingredient testing and inspection (including mycotoxin testing), manage positive release programs, monitor medication inventory, and investigate non‑compliant feed or customer complaints with proper documentation.
