About The Position

The Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Lead ensures raw materials and finished products meet quality standards through testing, inspection, and data analysis. The role coordinates daily laboratory activities, partners closely with production teams, and promotes collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement. This is a full-time, onsite position in Newton, NC, reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with overtime and weekend work as needed. Travel is not required. Pay is $26.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Analytical Lab, Quality Control Lab, or Manufacturing experience required.
At least one year of experience required.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific field preferred.
Three years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily laboratory activities, providing training, guidance, and support to QC team members.
Perform quality testing and inspection of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
Conduct First Piece Inspections and in-process audits to verify product quality and adherence to customer requirements.
Collect and prepare samples for analytical testing, environmental monitoring, and validation activities.
Troubleshoot laboratory issues and support timely resolution of quality concerns.
Maintain laboratory equipment through calibration, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and inventory management.
Support product release activities, generate quality documentation, and promote compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
