About The Position

It is with this view and vision that we are currently seeking a Quality Controler, Distribution Center (DC). The Quality Control Specialist, DC is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of products and orders processed at the distribution center. They perform quality checks throughout the receiving, storage, order picking, verification, packing, and shipping processes. They document discrepancies, participate in root cause analyses, and collaborate with operational teams to prevent errors and continuously improve service quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education, with relevant experience in quality control, warehousing, receiving, shipping, inventory, or order picking.
  • Good understanding of distribution center processes and traceability principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret order and shipping documents, as well as work instructions.
  • Comfortable using warehouse management systems or ERP systems, barcode scanners, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in French; knowledge of English is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, observation skills, integrity, objectivity, and commitment to established standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to enforce quality requirements in a constructive manner, with a customer-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and documented inspections of products received, stored, picked, and shipped.
  • Verify the accuracy and compliance of product numbers, descriptions, quantities, units of measure, lot numbers, dates, colors, dimensions, labels, and packaging in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Compare merchandise against purchase orders, receiving documents, picking lists, customer orders, and shipping documents.
  • Conduct random or targeted audits of orders prepared prior to shipment.
  • Confirm that products are properly packaged, identified, and protected to reduce the risk of damage during transportation.
  • Identify, isolate, and quarantine damaged, questionable, or non-conforming products.
  • Document non-conformities, take required photographs, and maintain traceability of inspections performed.
  • Promptly report discrepancies to the supervisor and relevant teams, and recommend containment measures.
  • Participate in root cause analyses and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain the log of receiving, inventory, picking, packaging, and shipping errors.
  • Verify compliance with operating procedures, work instructions, and checklists.
  • Participate in cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies, as required.
  • Communicate observed trends and contribute to employee training or reinforcement of best practices.
  • Collaborate with receiving, warehousing, order picking, shipping, inventory, and customer service teams.
  • Always comply with health and safety requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support distribution center operations.
