About The Position

BioAlert Solutions is seeking a Production Team Lead with a Quality Control component for a permanent, full-time position. This role is an ideal stepping stone into operations management, reporting to the Production Director. For the first 12 months, the position will combine Production Team Lead duties with Quality Control and Laboratory Analysis responsibilities, covering a maternity leave. Subsequently, the role will transition to 100% team leadership, operations coordination, and daily management of the production line.

Requirements

  • DEC or Bachelor's degree in biology, biotechnology, chemical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience (junior profiles and recent graduates with relevant internships are accepted).
  • Mandatory experience in laboratory/quality control.
  • Proficiency with computer tools and ERP systems (Prextra) is an asset.
  • Autonomy, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative temperament.
  • Mastery of French; mastery of English is an asset for career advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Create operational quality control procedures for production.
  • Conduct internal audits.
  • Analyze production quality controls.
  • Perform water analyses in the laboratory.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Manage daily operations of the production line.
  • Coordinate production to meet company objectives.
  • Ensure production quality and adherence to company standards.
  • Ensure workplace safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage daily production staff (training, evaluation, and skills development).
  • Plan periodic inventory counts.
  • Maintain or improve production procedures.
  • Implement production improvements from R&D and continuous improvement.
  • Equip, maintain, and service production lines.
  • Manufacture complex machine assemblies.
  • Operate a quality assurance system.
  • Manage production deviations and non-conformities.
  • Perform final quality analyses before shipment.
  • Manufacture biochemical solution assemblies.
