About The Position

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Quality Control and Pricing Specialist to support the processing, sorting, and pricing of donated goods through the Kaizen system. This position is responsible for maintaining production standards, following pricing and processing guidelines, supporting continuous process improvement, and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment. The Quality Control and Pricing Specialist also assists in other areas of production and cross-trains to support operational needs as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform moderate math calculations.
  • Ability to use the Pricing Tool effectively.
  • Ability to work at a brisk pace and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Good communication skills, judgment, patience, and understanding.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and independently stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.
  • Ability to recognize colors.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clutter-free work environment and adhere to all safety requirements.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to occasionally work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Ability to provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service.
  • Pleasant personality and ability to successfully pass the brand and fashion awareness test.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, record, sort, and process donated goods according to the Kaizen system and all RAW/Salvage sorting, labeling, and pricing guidelines.
  • Meet or exceed production goals by processing soft-line and hard-line merchandise while supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Execute Kaizen 5-minute drills and maintain clean, safe, and organized workstations and work areas.
  • Sort, box, and label hangers by type and follow all established processing procedures, including the rubber banding of shoes and other designated requirements.
  • Properly sort and place pulls, salvage, and recyclable commodities into designated containers, hoppers, Gaylords, totes, and other assigned locations to maximize aftermarket opportunities and minimize disposal expenses.
  • Use the Pricing Tool effectively and follow established pricing guidelines.
  • Maintain a positive attitude when working with customers, clients, and co-workers.
  • Support the company safety program by using appropriate safety attire, following safety practices, reporting incidents and accidents, and correcting or reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to established dress code standards.
  • Assist in other areas of the production process, cross-train to support additional roles, and perform donation attendant, merchandising, cleaning, fixture and equipment support, customer service, and other duties assigned by supervisors.
