About The Position

Maschmeyer Concrete is seeking an ACI Certified Technician (Concrete) to work at its ready-mix plants in major cities throughout Florida. The position focuses on collecting and testing concrete samples throughout the region and providing field support to customers and the Technical Services team. Travel to jobsites may take up to 100% of the workday, including throughout Hillsborough, Polk, and surrounding counties. Availability Monday through Saturday is required as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Successfully obtain and maintain ACI Concrete Field Technician – Level 1 certification and FDOT CTQP within the period determined by management.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time with minimal supervision.
• Ability to travel throughout Hillsborough, Polk, and surrounding counties, up to 100% of the day.
• Availability to work Monday through Saturday as needed.

• Knowledge of concrete testing.

Responsibilities

• Travel to jobsites daily to cast or collect concrete cylinder samples according to the department schedule.
• Perform jobsite testing in accordance with company procedures and at customer request.
• Coordinate with the QC Manager to provide onsite field support during critical pours.
• Sample and test materials used to produce concrete, including sand and rock.
• Sample and test concrete in the laboratory and field, including temperature, slump, air content, unit weight, and test-cylinder casting.
• Maintain accurate quality control records.
• Troubleshoot quality control issues and report priority concerns to the QC Manager.
• Maintain the company vehicle and property in accordance with company policy.
