About The Position

The Quality Control Specialist researches and resolves draft, audit, and transaction issues to keep settlements on track and protect client trust. The role is part of DebtBlue’s Quality Control team, reports to the Quality Control Manager, and is based in the Richardson, Texas office. It involves accurate, high-volume data entry and regular contact with creditors, third parties, and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in continuous, high-volume data entry.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with creditors, third parties, and internal teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Windows OS, and CRM platforms.
High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of financial industry experience in collections, payment processing, mortgages, or claims reconciliation preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Update client drafts based on client requests accurately and on time.
Research client files to identify and resolve transactional issues involving payments and performance fees.
Process third-party requests to clear, pend, cancel, or modify creditor settlement payments.
Process scheduled settlement payments and conduct a full accuracy audit.
When a client account is sold to another collection agency, contact the new creditor and work to reestablish the previous settlement agreement.
Submit refund and fee-referral requests to the accounting department.
Assist with account underwriting, verification, and approvals as volume requires.
Perform other duties that support department operations.
