About The Position

Rural Staffing Services partners with rural hospitals, clinics, public hospital districts, and community healthcare organizations throughout Washington to identify experienced leaders in quality, compliance, risk, patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory readiness. We are currently connecting with professionals who may be interested in active and upcoming quality, compliance, risk, patient safety, and regulatory leadership opportunities across Washington. These opportunities may include positions within Critical Access Hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers, public hospital districts, community hospitals, long-term care organizations, and integrated rural healthcare systems. In rural healthcare, quality, compliance, and risk leaders help protect patients, employees, and the long-term stability of the organization. Requirements

Progressive experience in healthcare quality, compliance, risk, patient safety, infection prevention, or regulatory affairs
Previous leadership experience as a director, manager, officer, supervisor, or comparable professional
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, quality improvement, and risk-management practices
Experience with audits, investigations, corrective action plans, or survey readiness
Strong analytical, communication, education, and problem-solving skills
The ability to work collaboratively across clinical and operational departments
Experience with rural hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals, FQHCs, public hospital districts, long-term care, or community healthcare organizations
Relevant education, licensure, or certification based on the position
A practical, fair, and relationship-focused leadership style

Responsibilities

Providing leadership for quality, compliance, risk, patient safety, or regulatory programs
Supporting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Monitoring quality indicators, patient outcomes, incidents, and performance trends
Leading investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning
Developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and compliance programs
Supporting regulatory surveys, accreditation visits, audits, and readiness activities
Managing risk identification, reporting, mitigation, and follow-up
Supporting infection prevention and employee or patient safety initiatives
Educating employees and leaders on quality, compliance, privacy, and regulatory expectations
Partnering with clinical, operational, HR, finance, and executive teams
Preparing reports and recommendations for executive leadership and governing boards
Tracking improvement plans and helping departments sustain progress
Supporting grievance, complaint, incident, and event-review processes
Helping the organization respond to changing regulations and standards
Building systems that are practical, consistent, and understandable for employees
