Requirements

  • Basic metrology skills with test equipment
  • Reasonable computer skills, especially Microsoft Office/Excel
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Reasonable interpersonal, skills
  • Able to work as a team member with a diverse workforce
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must pass the Quality Skills test
  • Ability to read and write
  • Experience using computers and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial manufacturing experience preferred
  • ASQ CQT certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the quality sampling systems and procedures to ensure that all required test samples are obtained and prepared for testing.
  • Prepare samples to the specific required sizes for testing utilizing a miter saw, table saw, drill press, and planer.
  • Responsible for assisting manufacturing in the monitoring and assuring of product quality.
  • Routinely tests product characteristics, in process and post production.
  • Graphs, analyzes, records and reports meaningful information from these tests.
  • Promptly reports results of audits/tests/analyses to the appropriate individual; advising whether or not the results are acceptable.
  • Advises production and quality management of observed trends in quality parameters.
  • Supports maintaining and updating test records.
  • Includes data entry of test results into the required databases.
  • Participate in the evaluation and initiation of actions to improve quality performance.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Must work overtime, holidays and weekends as scheduled.
