About The Position

US Farathane is seeking an experienced Quality Auditor for the 3rd shift (11:00 pm - 7:00 am). This position is responsible for supporting the Quality System, including auditing in-process product per instructions, associated documentation, and performing Receiving and Dock Auditing as needed. US Farathane has been a leading plastics manufacturer for the automotive industry for over 40 years, known for its technical research, development, and diverse management team. They offer a wide range of full-service support from design concepts to specialized composites and extrusion technologies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage.
  • Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence, and to speak and present information effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to do simple math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to add positive and negative numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Receiving Inspection and Dock Auditing as needed.
  • Perform in-process inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements.
  • Maintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements.
  • Monitor data received by sub-contractors for compliance to specifications as needed.
  • Assist in sort operations as needed.
  • Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. quality manual, associates handbooks, level II procedures, etc.).
  • Maintain work area per housekeeping standards.
  • Performs all other duties as requested by the Quality Manager.
