About The Position

The 3rd Shift QA Auditor audits and enforces GMPs, SSOPs, TQC, HACCP, and USDA requirements. The role involves making decisions according to established HACCP SOPs, identifying food-safety concerns and non-conforming products, and coordinating with department leads and supervisors. The auditor also supports product quality and food-safety practices through audits, sampling, equipment calibration, documentation, and team-member coaching.

Requirements

• Pass a math test with a minimum score of 75%.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food-safety principles.
• Good attendance.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred.
• Working knowledge of AS400 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit and enforce GMPs, SSOPs, TQC, HACCP, and USDA requirements.
• Apply established HACCP SOP requirements and make decisions based on set procedures.
• Perform AS400 computer transactions.
• Write shift summaries and weekly reports as necessary.
• Identify potential food-safety issues and involve the appropriate department leads or supervisors.
• Identify non-conforming products.
• Audit products for export.
• Assist with coaching and training team members on proper documentation, product quality, and food safety.
• Coordinate a sampling plan for products on hold.
• Record, identify, and calibrate thermometers.
• Perform swabbing as needed.
