QA Supervisor - 3rd Shift

About The Position

The QA Supervisor supervises, schedules, and leads QA Technicians and team members to ensure safe food handling practices and regulatory compliance. The role monitors the plant floor for quality and food safety issues, supports QA training and program implementation, and maintains production and quality documentation. The supervisor also coordinates with USDA team members and management, oversees product hold releases, and assists with customer, corporate, and third-party audits.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Previous QA and food manufacturing experience.
Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in poultry or meat processing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Food, Animal, or Poultry Science, or another closely related field preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise, schedule, and lead QA Technicians and team members, ensuring safe food handling practices and regulatory compliance.
Communicate with USDA team members.
Monitor the plant floor for quality and food safety issues.
Provide training for weekly QA meetings.
Monitor sample submission forms before packing.
Perform QA hold releases, transactions, and warehouse transfers.
Help implement programs and procedures.
Create, maintain, and verify production and quality paperwork.
Order supplies as needed.
Oversee hold releases.
Communicate out-of-specification product issues to management and technicians.
Assist with the preparation and execution of customer, corporate, and third-party audits.
Ensure compliance with regulatory programs.
Review documents to ensure completion and accuracy.
Perform other relevant duties as required.
