Quality Assurance

Hubbell Incorporated•Ontario, CA

About The Position

Site Support & Internal Audits provides rapid, hands-on technical quality support for product, process, equipment, workmanship, and customer-quality issues. The role works directly with site personnel to understand problems, contain risk, support root-cause analysis, coordinate or perform approved repair and rework, verify corrective-action effectiveness, and drive sustainable process improvements. When not responding to active issues, the Quality Technician conducts internal quality-system, process, product, and layered-process audits; supports corrective-action closure; evaluates adherence to standard work and quality requirements; and identifies opportunities to strengthen manufacturing controls. The role calls for manufacturing troubleshooting ability, disciplined problem-solving, sound technical judgment, practical repair knowledge, effective communication, and collaboration with site teams. The position responds to quality escalations, production disruptions, repeat defects, customer complaints, product returns, and significant nonconformances. It assesses the issue and its impacts, establishes containment, investigates potential causes, defines the problem, evaluates product against applicable requirements, and collects objective evidence. It also assesses disposition options for nonconforming material and equipment, develops or reviews rework instructions, performs limited authorized hands-on work within demonstrated competency, coordinates specialized technical support, and verifies repair effectiveness. Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions supporting grid modernization and electrification. Hubbell Electrical Solutions provides components that allow operators of buildings, factories, and other industrial infrastructure to connect, protect, wire, and manage power. The company states that it is committed to operating sustainably and ethically and promoting an inclusive and supportive culture.
