Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing production needs.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or production experience preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Join a hands-on manufacturing team where you will help build custom foam inserts and protective case solutions used by customers around the world.
  • Read and follow technical drawings, Bills of Materials, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
  • Prepare and assemble foam and plastic sub-components for a variety of custom case configurations.
  • Operate fabrication and assembly equipment including saws, glue applicators, drills, and hand tools.
  • Perform cutting, laminating, pressing, gluing, taping, labeling, masking, and painting operations.
  • Select materials and cut components to required dimensions and specifications.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Pick materials, parts, and supplies from inventory.
  • Maintain production records and complete required documentation accurately.
  • Support a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Actively supports and complies with Pelican’s objectives, guidelines, and commitment to Quality and Safety with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within required timelines.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
