About The Position

Stan's Donuts & Coffee is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician for its Alsip Commissary. The technician works with the QA Supervisor and facility operations management to review requirements, support adherence to standard operating procedures, and monitor processes across departments. The role involves food safety and quality verification, inspections, sanitation monitoring, documentation, and addressing non-conformities. Third-shift positions are available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a quality assurance or food production role.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document and analyze data.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement corrective actions.
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Spanish and English bilingual proficiency.
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Additional education or training in food science, quality assurance, or a related field.
• Experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Work with the QA Supervisor and facility operations management to review requirements and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with departments to monitor and review processes.
• Troubleshoot and analyze unexpected issues.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and verify corrective actions before production release.
• Report food safety issues promptly.
• Perform bi-annual mock recalls.
• Apply knowledge of pest control.
• Communicate and execute non-conformities and address non-conformities.
• Perform verification activities, including instrument calibration, titration, and monitoring records.
• Conduct sanitation monitoring activities, including ATP and allergen swabbing.
• Support documentation and identify or address documentation errors.
