About The Position

The Quality Assurance Supervisor oversees quality assurance activities at JBS USA’s Omaha, Nebraska facility and reports to the Quality Assurance Superintendent. The role works with Operations to ensure programs are followed, supervises sanitation and QA technicians, and helps maintain compliance with regulatory and company requirements. The supervisor also supports product quality, employee development, workplace safety, and coordination across facility departments. The position may require extended hours, weekend work, and travel at least 25% of the time.

Requirements

Minimum 1–2 years of meat or food industry experience.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
Proven written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving ability, and leadership qualities.
Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to multitask.
Knowledge of net/tare weights and micro sampling.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Understanding of product AQL, SSOP, and record reviewing.
Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Work with the Operations team to ensure all programs are followed.
Coordinate and supervise pre-operation sanitation, examining and verifying the cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and facilities daily.
Act as a liaison between the company and the USDA to ensure the company operates within regulatory guidelines.
Train and monitor employees for adherence to company SOPs, SSOPs, and GMPs.
Maintain acceptable yield levels on all products and carcasses.
Perform daily safety walks and correct non-compliance issues.
Track QA Technicians’ hours, vacations, and time off.
Supervise a team of QA Technicians and foster their growth and development by directing, motivating, and monitoring activities.
Contribute to the ongoing development of JBS policies and procedures.
Coordinate efforts of other facility departments to optimize company performance and meet company guidelines and management expectations.
Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of the position.
