About The Position

The Quality Assurance Representative is part of the Warehouse Process Quality Assurance Team at Crawford Electric Supply in Katy. The role performs audits of warehouse processes, investigates inventory and order quality issues, supports root cause analysis and continuous improvement, maintains audit documentation, and promotes safe and compliant work practices. The position involves operating powered industrial trucks (PIT), maintaining work areas, and completing related duties as assigned. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday on the PM shift; the posting gives 3 p.m.–11 p.m. in one section and notes that exact hours are to be determined in another.

Requirements

A college degree or at least two years of related experience and/or training; an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
Powered industrial truck proficiency, including reach truck, order picker, and sit-down propane forklift operation.
Manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle small parts.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Strong communication skills, including frequent daily written and verbal communication with DC leadership, DC department staff, and Sales.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to perform arithmetic with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to work well and communicate with the management team.
Ability to work in extreme hot or cold, dusty, and noisy conditions.
Ability to work long and varied hours occasionally.

Responsibilities

Perform daily audits of receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping using audit checklists.
Observe associates performing tasks and verify compliance with SOPs and work instructions.
Accurately record audit results and report findings to the supervisor before the end of each shift.
Research inventory discrepancies, receiving and shipping errors, damages, and customer complaints.
Gather supporting information such as photos, transaction history, order details, and associate input for investigations.
Assist the QA team and supervisors with root cause analysis.
Identify and report recurring errors and quality concerns observed on the warehouse floor.
Identify and report waste, inefficiencies, process bottlenecks, and compliance gaps.
Suggest practical improvements and participate in quality improvement projects and assigned special tasks.
Help test new or revised processes and provide feedback about their operation on the floor.
Complete daily audit logs, checklists, and forms accurately and on time.
Enter audit findings and follow-up results into designated tracking tools and maintain organized quality records.
Follow safe work practices, report safety concerns observed during audits immediately, and use Stop Work Authority when an immediate quality or safety risk exists.
Operate powered industrial trucks, including stand-up trucks, reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down propane forklifts, and complete daily PIT logs.
Prioritize tasks and labor to achieve daily productivity and accuracy goals.
Clean and maintain work areas.
Work mandatory physical inventory as required and perform other duties as assigned.
