We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager Energy – Remote. This remote position is based out of our Oak Ridge, TN office. Your role Responsible for leading implementing and maintaining the quality assurance program in accordance with commercial nuclear industry standards including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1 and the applicable regulatory customer and contractual requirements. Ensures that all products services and processes meet stringent nuclear quality safety and compliance expectations the QA manager supports audit supplier qualification, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Provides effective oversight of Projects QA Program and QA Program elements to ensure high-quality products and services for customers. Manages staff development and retention. Establishes and monitors work goals and objectives. Evaluates employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching and feedback methods. Provides direction, guidance and training to QA staff and quality control (QC) staff on QA/QC matters. Follows organizational policies and procedures and ensures staff is in compliance. Develops performance standards and objectives and measures progress toward these goals. Provides QA support—including planning, scheduling and performance—for QA activities. Prepares Project QA plans and leads QA implementation efforts. Reviews customer contracts issued to identify QA requirements that must be met. Evaluates, recommends and develops policies and procedures to ensure awareness of, and compliance with, QA requirements. Stays informed of changes made to applicable codes, standards and regulations. Assists in preparing responses and corrective action plans and verifying implementation of corrective actions. Prepares Appearant Cause Analysis (ACA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when required for Conditions Adverse to Quality (CAQ) and Significant Conditions Adverse to Quality (SCAQ). Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Reviews and approves nonconformance and condition reports. Promotes communication to enhance and encourage employee awareness of QA requirements. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, business and project management to ensure quality requirements are integrated throughout the lifecycle of nuclear projects. Interface with Customers regulators and third-party auditors to demonstrate program compliance and resolve quality issues. Develops and implements internal audit, management assessment, and surveillance schedules. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance reduce risk and strengthen our nuclear safety culture. Performs other duties as assigned.
