About The Position

The Quality Assurance Intern will gain hands-on experience in food quality and safety while working with the Quality Assurance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The intern will support projects, collect and analyze data, and spend time on the production floor and in the laboratory to learn how quality and food safety are incorporated into daily operations. The role also provides exposure to cross-functional production and quality work and food manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field at a four-year college or university.

Responsibilities

• Support Quality Assurance projects through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Gather data on the production floor and in the lab while supporting quality initiatives.
• Participate in daily management meetings and learn how cross-functional teams support production and quality goals.
• Build practical knowledge of food safety and quality programs, including sanitation, environmental monitoring, foreign material monitoring, and quality attribute grading.
• Assist with additional Quality Assurance projects and operational needs.
