About The Position

Metropolitan Commercial Bank is undertaking a multiyear technology upgrade initiative called “Modern Banking in Motion,” introducing a new technology stack intended to support client experiences, security, and risk management. The Quality Assurance Intern will assist Business Units with testing new applications being implemented as part of the Bank’s Core Banking Transformation. The role helps identify defects and verify that functionality works as expected before applications go live. The intern will collaborate with experienced quality assurance analysts and develop skills in automated testing, test documentation, defect reporting, regression testing, and user experience testing. The position reports to the VP, Digital Transformation Project Leader.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion and curiosity for continuously learning how technological systems, including AI, can enhance work.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma with Computer Science classes or a Computer Science college degree.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with quality assurance analysts to learn to create and maintain automated test scripts in Testim for web and mobile applications.
• Learn best practices for organizing test cases, test plans, and test results in Jira, and for maintaining test documentation.
• Run automated tests, analyze results, and report defects using Jira or the vendor ticketing system.
• Automate steps in Testim to build a regression automated test suite.
• Assist Business Units in testing new applications and identifying defects before they go live.
