About The Position

The Quality Assurance Inspector maintains Envision quality standards across all product lines by inspecting products, taking samples, and ensuring conformance with specifications. The role also maintains required records and documentation, performs in-process quality tests, and works with Operators and Maintenance Technicians to address quality problems. The position contributes to continuous improvement and participates in scheduled ISO internal audits. It has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Basic computer skills to operate word processing, spreadsheet, and web-based applications.
• Ability to successfully complete the in-house ISO 9001 Internal Auditor training program.
• Ability to learn process improvement methodology and application.
• Working knowledge of quality and manufacturing principles, theories, and concepts.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, management, customers, and suppliers.
• Leadership skills to make sound decisions and guide day-to-day operations successfully.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings and interpret customer requirements and specifications.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One to three years of experience in the quality field preferred.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process quality testing procedures and techniques accurately and thoroughly.
• Record required data and maintain required quality records and documentation.
• Coordinate with Operators and Maintenance Technicians to correct quality problems.
• Follow established quality procedures and recommend improvements.
• Provide solutions to technical and quality-related problems of basic scope and complexity.
• Participate in ISO internal audits as scheduled.
• Ensure rejected material is properly labeled and controlled.
• Refer questionable issues to the Manager Quality/Safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Review and inspect assigned work, the work of others, or facilities or structures, as required.
