About The Position

We are a leading company in the wireless broadband communications industry looking for talented professionals with a winning attitude. This role involves developing and implementing site quality strategy, establishing a culture of quality, and driving continuous improvement in product quality, process capability, and customer satisfaction. The Director will serve as the executive owner for customer quality performance, lead the resolution of major customer concerns and field issues, and support customer audits and business reviews. Participation in NPI and manufacturing readiness reviews, leading quality planning including PFMEA, Control Plan, FAI, and inspection requirements, and identifying manufacturing and quality risks before production release are key aspects of the role. The position also focuses on operational quality excellence by leveraging systems to implement robust quality systems, driving site quality performance through data analytics, and developing programs to reduce defects and cost of poor quality. Establishing and maintaining the site QMS based on ISO 9001, leading internal and external audits, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, safety, and ethical business requirements are also critical. Supplier quality management, including establishing expectations and metrics, leading improvement initiatives, and supporting sourcing activities, is part of the role. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for building and developing a high-performing quality organization, coaching and mentoring quality leaders, and establishing succession planning. Business partnership includes participating in strategic planning, supporting new business opportunities, and contributing to site profitability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of quality leadership experience in networking products, automotive electronics, industrial electronics, wireless communication products manufacturing, or EMS industries.
  • 7+ years of cross-functional team management experience.
  • Proven experience serving as a quality leader for high-end customers with recognized customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated outstanding results in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in U.S. greenfield factory establishment, overseas site start-up, or large-scale manufacturing plant implementation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement site quality strategy aligned with corporate objectives.

  • Develop programs to reduce defects, scrap, rework, and cost of poor quality.
  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve process capability and product reliability.
  • Establish and maintain the site QMS based on ISO 9001 and applicable customer/industry requirements.
  • Maintain effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
  • Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and ethical business requirements.
  • Establish supplier quality expectations and performance metrics.
  • Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support sourcing activities by evaluating supplier capabilities and risks.
  • Greenfield quality team set-up. Build and develop a high-performing quality organization.
  • Coach and mentor quality leaders and technical professionals.
  • Establish succession planning and organizational capability development programs.
  • Participate in strategic planning and operational reviews.
  • Support new business opportunities and customer engagements.
