About The Position

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, operates over 50 locations across the US, offering vehicle services like repair, reconditioning, and auction remarketing. ADESA is undergoing a significant expansion with investments in facilities, sales growth, and inventory. We are seeking individuals to join us on this journey. This role reports to the Reconditioning Manager or a designated manager. The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Detail Shop process adheres to the 'First Time Right' standard applied by Detailers. This includes communicating quality and production goals to detail line staff and serving as their primary point of contact.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • XX certification
  • XX experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
  • Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Light to Medium Physical Work: Constant - standing, watching, touching, listening, walking, talking; Frequent - bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling; Potential – running, jumping, yelling or other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations.
  • Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable to definitions for Clerical, Administrative, Machine Operators (including inspection) positions.
  • Subject to inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect the quality of work performed by each team member, identifying vehicles that do not meet company standards.
  • Communicate with team members positively and collaboratively regarding quality standards.
  • Identify detailers' strengths to effectively assign tasks within the detail process.
  • Ensure team members are implementing proper techniques and procedures.
  • Train team members on standard operating procedures for vehicle detailing.
  • Assist on the detail line and perform final detail tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, an orderly work environment, and a friendly disposition.
  • Assist with shop cleaning and basic equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report all incidents to management immediately.
  • Properly log vehicle information into the computer upon satisfactory completion of inspection.
  • Photograph and stage vehicles to ensure focused and clear pictures according to standards.
  • Return customer vehicles in clean condition.
  • Run inventory reports for the detail shop.
  • Advise the designated Manager of all equipment breakdowns and required maintenance immediately.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
