About The Position

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, operates in over 50 locations throughout the US, providing a wide array of vehicle services including repair, reconditioning, and auction remarketing. Our industry is fun, fast-paced, and competitive. We are looking for great people to join us on our multi-year expansion journey, which includes significant investments in facilities, sales growth, and an increasing inventory of vehicles. This role reports to the Reconditioning Manager or other designated manager. The Quality Assurance Coordinator assures the quality of the Detail Shop process “First Time Right” is applied by Detailers. This role communicates with the detail line staff concerning quality and production goals and expectations, serving as the first point of contact per detail line.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • XX certification
  • XX experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
  • Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications
  • Team player who can collaborate well with multiple departments, customers and vendors
  • Strong customer service skills
  • High degree of safety focus
  • Proven ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect the quality of work done by each team member, identify vehicle quality that does not meet company standards.
  • Communicate with team members in a positive and collaborative manner when quality does not meet standards.
  • Identify the strengths of detailers to effectively create their assignments within the detail process.
  • Ensure proper techniques and procedures are being implemented by team members.
  • Train team members on standard operating procedures for vehicle detail.
  • Assist on the detail line and perform final detail tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment and friendly disposition.
  • Assist with shop cleaning and basic equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Report all incidents to management immediately.
  • Properly log the vehicle information into the computer upon satisfactory completion of inspection.
  • Photograph and stage vehicles to ensure focused and clear pictures per standards.
  • Return customer’s vehicles in clean condition.
  • Run inventory reports for the detail shop.
  • Advise the designated Manager of all equipment breakdowns and required maintenance immediately.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
