About The Position

As a Quality Assurance Clerk at Embers, you play a key role in ensuring loan files are accurate, complete, and aligned with regulatory and internal standards. You work closely with lending teams, members, and internal partners to review documentation and resolve discrepancies with care and precision. Your attention to detail helps protect the member experience while maintaining trust in Embers’ lending operations. Through consistent and reliable work, you contribute to a strong operational foundation that supports growth and compliance. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional coursework in business, finance, or a related field is helpful or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in financial services, lending support, or administrative operations
  • Familiarity with loan documentation, compliance requirements, or credit union operations is helpful
  • Experience reviewing detailed information for accuracy and completeness

Responsibilities

  • Review Loan Documentation for Accuracy - Carefully examine loan files, disclosures, and system data to ensure completeness and alignment with policy and regulatory requirements. This work supports lending teams by identifying discrepancies early and protecting the member experience.
  • Verify System and File Consistency - Compare loan documentation with system records to confirm accuracy across platforms. Through this work, inconsistencies are identified and corrected, helping maintain reliable data that supports reporting, servicing, and decision-making.
  • Track Policy and Procedural Exceptions - Maintain records of loan exceptions and deviations, ensuring they are properly documented and approved. This helps leaders understand trends, manage risk, and strengthen consistency across lending practices.
  • Support Member and Staff Inquiries - Respond to questions from team members and occasionally members regarding loan files, insurance, or documentation requirements. Clear communication helps resolve issues quickly while building confidence in the QA process.
  • Maintain Audit and Compliance Readiness - Organize loan files and supporting documentation in preparation for audits and reviews. This work ensures information is accessible, complete, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
  • Other Duties as Assigned - Support evolving team needs by stepping in where needed, whether assisting with reports, coverage, or special projects. Flexibility helps maintain momentum and ensures the team continues to operate smoothly.
