About The Position

The Quality Assurance Analyst supports the execution of operational procedures, regulatory compliance, and physical security protocols across all credit union locations. This role is responsible for conducting branch reviews ensuring adherence to policies, procedures and regulations, supporting process improvements, and assisting with physical security operations. The Quality Assurance Analyst plays a key role in mitigating risk, strengthening internal controls, and maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment for employees and members. This position may require work outside of standard business hours.

Requirements

Deep understanding of how a credit union functions, and the value it brings to its members and community. This includes understanding of what a Cooperative is, as that is the business models of all credit unions.
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (BSA/AML, CIP, etc.).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to interpret policies and translate them into practical guidance.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to establish productive working relationships and interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals, members, and vendors.
Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Desire to build strong relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration.
Self-motivated, confident, and able to multitask effectively.
Employee must maintain a cooperative attitude with other employees and help to maintain the friendliest atmosphere possible in the credit union office.
Employee will follow any instructions, and perform other related duties, as may be required by management.
Employees are required to maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive Cornerstone Community FCU, member, employee, and proprietary information both during and after their employment.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field preferred.
3 Years of experience in a Financial Institution, Branch Operations, Compliance/Risk, is preferred.
Experience with audits, quality assurance or risk assessments is preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
Bondable upon initial employment and continue to be bondable throughout term of employment.

Exposure to physical security operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine branch operational reviews to ensure controls with internal policies, regulatory requirements and established procedures; assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the branch audit program, including audit scheduling, risk assessments and reporting.
Evaluate internal controls, cash handling practices, documentation accuracy, and overall operational risk.
Prepare comprehensive branch audit reports, documenting findings, trends, and recommending corrective actions.
Monitor and follow up on branch audit exceptions to ensure timely resolution and sustained compliance.
Maintain accurate records of branch audits, corrective actions, and operational trends.
Analyze audit results to identify recurring issues and recommend proactive solutions.
Monitor compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., BSA/AML, CIP, Truth in Savings, etc.).
Support fraud prevention initiatives and broader operational risk management efforts.
Partner with the Retail Operations team to ensure operational policies and procedures are followed across all branch locations.
As part of branch review results and recommendations, interpret and clarify operational procedures guidelines for branch management and staff.
Identify procedural gaps, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance consistency throughout branch operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process enhancements.
Work together with Retail Operations and the Risk team to support in the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and job aids.
Assist in daily physical security operations across all credit union locations, including access control, video surveillance, and fire alarm systems.
Perform routine testing of camera and DVR systems to ensure proper functionality and continuity of operations.
Create and manage employee access credentials, including key fobs and user profiles for building access systems.
Serve as a liaison with physical security vendors; assist with maintaining and testing access control systems, burglar alarms, fire alarms, and surveillance equipment.
Support the consistent implementation and enforcement of physical security policies, standards, and procedures.
May be required to respond to urgent operational or security-related matters, including after-hours support as needed.
Support and participate in security related project initiatives.
Participate in the annual review of security procedures; identify, recommend, and help implement enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and strengthen controls.
Provide oversight and reinforcement of clean desk and clear screen practices across designated locations.
Assist with the development, maintenance, and updates of evacuation maps for all facilities.
Coordinate and support fire drills at all credit union locations.
Assist in investigations related to: Suspected internal and/or external criminal activity, Suspicious incidents or security concerns, Internal or external policy violations with potential security implications.
