About The Position

The QC Technician will apply quality assurance principles in a manufacturing environment to ensure compliance and prevent defects. This role involves verifying in-process controls, conducting various quality inspections, and supporting the documentation and segregation of nonconforming products. The technician will also contribute to corrective actions and maintain quality records.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Three years of verifiable work experience
Trained in or able to learn API Q1 and ISO 9001 requirements
Basic math skills
Ability to accurately use inspection and measuring tools (scales, OD tape, rulers, thread gauges, calipers, micrometers)
Ability to adapt and be cross-trained across quality-related tasks
Ability to learn and follow technical repair, assembly, and verification procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to read and understand drawings, instructions, and work procedures

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree (Quality, Business, Engineering, or related field)
Work experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Responsibilities

Apply quality assurance principles in a manufacturing environment to support compliance and prevention of defects
Verify that in-process controls, inspections, and work instructions are followed correctly
Perform verification checks using quality forms and checklist to confirm process capability and compliance
Perform quality inspection such as dimensional with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, scales, etc.), & visual inspection as well as other qualification and validation tests such as DSC, tensile, and etc.
Support identification, segregation, and documentation of nonconforming product in accordance with Quality procedures
Ensure correct application and removal of API monogram per authorization and nonconformance status
Complete accurate documentation and maintain required quality records
Support corrective actions by identifying trends, recurring issues, or process gaps
Wear appropriate PPE at all times
Comply with all NOV Company, HSE, and Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures
Other duties as assigned
