About The Position

The Manufacturing Quality Assembly Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations. They identify and escalate quality issues seen on the manufacturing floor. The MQE Technician will focus daily on auditing processes, root cause investigations and documenting non-conformance issues.

Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task is necessary.
  • Attention to details with high focus on Quality and Process / Product Improvement
  • Possess a high level of integrity and strong work ethic
  • Ability to drive improvement efforts
  • Ability to communicate issues verbally and in writing to all levels of employees
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, and Word) preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to speak Spanish, preferred but not required
  • Understanding of ESD Compliance preferred.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence

Responsibilities

  • Perform Daily Audits for Quality and Compliance
  • Monitor all production areas for customer requirements, proper SOP, tool compliance and other process & quality issues.
  • Report feedback on quality or process compliance issues to quality engineers and management.
  • Ensure all tools and resources are in working order
  • Drive root cause analysis of any quality issues reported by assembly operations
  • Document and upload investigation findings in JIRA.
  • Identify potential issues and drive preventive actions on a real-time basis
  • Ensure corrective actions affecting quality are completed on a timely basis
  • Perform pilot build audits for each new product SKU
  • Create product -specific inspection guides based on known issues from vendor or customer feedback, or ZT investigations
  • Manage/escalate issues impacting quality and communicate to In-Process Quality Control inspectors, leads and Supervisor / managers
  • Create time-sensitive quality alerts for process gaps and inspections & drive SOP improvements.
  • Create Quality Incidents (QI) for supplier quality issues and monitor multiple tickets for updates from supplier quality engineering.
