About The Position

Fenix Parts, Inc. is seeking a quality control and shipping worker to help ensure outgoing orders meet the company’s standards for quality, appearance, and accuracy. The role examines stock and brokered parts, records and helps resolve discrepancies, and refurbishes parts as needed to meet established appearance standards. It also involves preparing materials and documents for shipment, coordinating shipping arrangements, moving materials to staging areas, maintaining supplies, and keeping the quality control area clean. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of related experience and/or training with heavy equipment to move vehicles or fragile objects, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Excellent close vision and depth perception, ability to see color, and ability to adjust focus.
• Attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Examine stock and brokered parts for wear and defects and compare them with purchase orders, work orders, and other records to verify accuracy.
• Record discrepancies in part descriptions, including damage not noted on purchase orders or work orders, and work with internal resources to resolve problems.
• Inspect parts to confirm their appearance meets company standards.
• Refurbish parts as needed to meet established appearance standards.
• Pack, seal, and label materials for shipment using the appropriate tags.
• Prepare shipping documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices.
• Contact carrier representatives to arrange shipping or provide shipping and delivery instructions.
• Deliver or route materials to the appropriate staging area using a hand truck, lift truck, forklift, or sorting bins.
• Requisition and store quality control and shipping supplies to maintain inventory.
• Maintain housekeeping in the quality control area.
