About The Position

The QC Inspector verifies and documents that finished products have been manufactured in accordance with customer specifications and AWS D1.1. The role performs dimensional layout and visual weld inspections of all welds according to quality inspection procedures and documents inspections on the appropriate forms. Safety is a priority, and the Inspector must initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

• Experience in blueprint reading and layout.
• Ability to achieve VT Level II or CWI certification.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and experience with manufacturing steel transmission/distribution monopole structures.
• Knowledge and experience with weld inspection to AWS D1.1 requirements.
• Goal-oriented approach and drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Verify and document that finished products meet customer specifications and AWS D1.1.
• Perform dimensional layout and visual weld inspections of all welds in accordance with quality inspection procedures.
• Document inspections using the appropriate inspection forms.
