About The Position

The Coatings Lead is a production leadership role at Nucor Towers & Structures in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The position supports the leadership team, helps develop teammates within Nucor’s culture, monitors machine loading and product flow through the department, and oversees and trains teammates on the line. The role communicates production-related information to other departments and teammates, establishes the production pace, maintains efficiency, and ensures line quality. The Coatings Lead may also fill in for other line positions and for the Supervisor as needed. Safety is a primary responsibility, including upholding safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

Competence with Microsoft Office software programs.
At least 6 months of experience in steel manufacturing.
Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of tower fabrication processes and procedures.
Previous leadership experience.

Responsibilities
