Payments Tech - QA Testing Analyst - Senior
About The Position
The QA Testing Analyst - Senior leads quality assurance activities for complex payments organization platform initiatives spanning multiple applications, integrations, and development environments. The role owns end-to-end test planning, test case development, manual and automated test execution, performance testing, defect management, and production-readiness validation. It partners with Business, Product, Development, Architecture, Operations, vendor, and cross-impacted application teams to ensure complete test coverage and successful delivery. The analyst also provides leadership and technical guidance to offshore QA team members, supports automation and continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures testing deliverables meet standards, project timelines, and quality expectations. The position is classified as exempt and is an office workplace type. Huntington notes that certain positions outside its branch network may be eligible for flexible work arrangements; specific arrangements are provided by the hiring team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or an additional 2+ years of IT experience that includes IT Analytics, IT Troubleshooting, or IT Customer Service may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of related experience, or the additional IT experience described above in lieu of the bachelor's degree.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for immigration benefits.
Nice To Haves
- QA experience with expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Experience leading QA for enterprise-scale applications involving APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and third-party integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, ReadyAPI, Postman, or equivalent test automation tools.
- Experience implementing automated API, UI, regression, and integration testing solutions.
- Experience creating and executing performance or load tests using JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, BlazeMeter, or similar tools.
- Experience coordinating and leading offshore QA teams in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong SQL and data-validation skills, including validation of large datasets and complex business transactions.
- Experience working in CI/CD environments and integrating automated testing into DevOps pipelines.
- Payments, Cards, Banking, or Financial Services domain experience.
- Experience with defect management, test management, and Agile tools such as Jira, ALM, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end testing across multiple applications, APIs, vendor integrations, and downstream systems to validate complete business processes.
- Coordinate test planning, execution, defect resolution, and production-readiness activities with Business, Product Owners, Development, Architecture, Infrastructure, Operations, and third-party vendor teams.
- Define test strategy, scope, environments, test data requirements, and testing timelines for cross-functional initiatives.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end business workflows.
- Improve QA automation frameworks to increase coverage, reduce manual effort, and support CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Create, execute, and maintain performance, load, stress, and volume testing suites to validate scalability, reliability, and operational readiness.
- Analyze performance results, identify bottlenecks, work with development teams on tuning, and validate remediation.
- Lead and mentor offshore QA team members through testing direction, task prioritization, quality reviews, knowledge transfer, and technical guidance.
- Coordinate testing across distributed onsite and offshore teams to deliver test artifacts and execute projects on time.
- Lead defect triage with cross-functional teams and ensure critical issues are prioritized, tracked, and resolved within project timelines.
- Validate functional, integration, regression, automation, performance, security, and production verification results before release approvals.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-impacted application teams to ensure test coverage for customer-facing and backend processes.
- Support production deployments, post-release validation, and warranty activities to ensure successful implementation of business capabilities.
