  • Ability to communicate professionally with field personnel, project leadership, carriers, subcontractors, and authorized client representatives.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain professional objectivity, and report quality concerns accurately when operational or schedule pressures exist.
  • Willingness to raise concerns promptly, initiate required escalation, and follow assigned issues through documented resolution.
  • Ability to recognize when technical, engineering, customer, project-management, or QMS-owner approval is required and to work within assigned authority.
  • Comply with project safety requirements and wear required PPE.
  • Perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large industrial, machinery-moving, data-center, semiconductor, advanced-manufacturing, or other mission-critical equipment projects.
  • Working knowledge of Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, hold and witness points, acceptance criteria, nonconformance reports, concessions, corrective-action processes, and turnover documentation.
  • Ability to distinguish among correction, containment, disposition, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.
  • Experience identifying, documenting, controlling, and tracking nonconforming equipment or work through an approved NCR or project issue-management process.
  • Familiarity with verifying the calibration, certification, or inspection status of measuring and monitoring equipment when applicable.
  • Awareness of ISO 9001 requirements and quality-management principles.
  • Formal training in ISO 9001, construction quality management, quality inspection, document control, root-cause analysis, or internal auditing.
  • Experience coordinating client inspections, hold or witness points, final walkdowns, punch-list items, and quality turnover packages.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with field leadership to ensure required receiving inspections occur as equipment arrives and before subsequent handling conceals its condition.
  • Verify equipment tags, manufacturer information, model numbers, and serial numbers against approved equipment lists, shipping documents, and project records, as applicable.
  • Confirm each delivery corresponds to the expected unit, quantity, and designated destination.
  • Visually inspect accessible equipment surfaces, packaging, crates, protective coverings, and shipping restraints for damage, missing items, or other visible concerns.
  • Photograph equipment upon arrival, including overall condition, identification plates, and detailed views of damage or discrepancies.
  • Document shortages, incorrect units, damaged packaging, and other exceptions on receiving records; coordinate notation on delivery paperwork before acknowledgment where practicable.
  • Clearly record inspection limitations, including inaccessible surfaces or equipment that must remain crated or sealed.
  • Verify required inspection checkpoints are completed before equipment progresses through receiving, storage, movement, and placement.
  • Monitor equipment condition during changes in location or custody and document new damage or concerns when identified.
  • Verify protective coverings, caps, shipping braces, environmental controls, and other preservation measures are maintained according to current manufacturer instructions, customer requirements, and approved project controls.
  • Identify storage or handling conditions that could damage equipment, including improper support, weather exposure, contamination, or interference with adjacent work.
  • Document the transfer of loose components, accessories, and shipping items included within Omega Morgan’s receiving responsibility.
  • Perform and document a final visual condition inspection after each unit is set in its designated position.
  • Where included in Omega Morgan’s scope, verify completion and supporting records for leveling, shimming, anchoring, fastening, or similar physical installation activities.
  • Confirm temporary protection is maintained or restored and shipping materials are removed only as authorized.
  • Capture final photographs showing equipment identification, overall condition, final location, and applicable installation details.
  • Identify incomplete work or placement discrepancies and track those items through documented closure.
  • Distinguish conditions documented at receipt from conditions identified during subsequent handling or placement using objective records and photographs.
  • Coordinate equipment hold status with field leadership when damage, identity, or placement issues require review before work proceeds.
  • Preserve factual records without making unsupported determinations of fault or authorizing repairs, substitutions, or acceptance of damaged equipment.
  • Coordinate required client inspections and witness points with project leadership.
  • Provide routine updates on inspection completion, equipment holds, open deficiencies, and turnover readiness.
  • Assemble complete QA/QC turnover packages and verify completeness, legibility, traceability, required approvals, closed or formally accepted exceptions, and conformance with contractual turnover requirements before submission.
