About The Position

This role focuses on quality assurance in an ice cream or bakery manufacturing setting. Unlike traditional QA roles that focus on paperwork after the fact, this position emphasizes proactive problem-solving on the production floor. The QA Coordinator will spend most of their time at the Reading Road bakery and commissary, working with a team of 45 people. The goal is to identify and fix issues in real-time, ensuring product quality before it ships. Key responsibilities in the first year include timely and gap-free record review and uploading, reducing repeat findings on the floor, and maintaining a robust traceability system.

Requirements

• PCQI certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 90 days, company-paid).
• Experience in quality assurance.
• An eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and upload all required records on time with zero gaps.
• Achieve a measurable drop in repeat findings on the production floor.
• Maintain a traceability system that holds up under a live trace.
• Spend most of the day on the floor at the bakery and commissary.
• Identify and fix quality issues while they are occurring.
• Review records to confirm issues that have been addressed.
