About The Position

Client is seeking a senior-level QA Automation Engineer with at least eight years of experience designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions. The selected candidate will create automated test scripts, prioritize test scenarios, develop execution plans, prepare test environments, and perform functional, application, and regression testing. This position requires the ability to work independently, manage complex testing activities, interpret business and technical requirements, and collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and customers. Experience testing healthcare applications is highly desirable. Experience with Katalon is preferred.

Requirements

• At least eight years of experience in designing automated tests and developing scripts that execute testing functions automatically.
• Prioritizing test scenarios and creating test-execution plans.
• Developing test plans and test cases.
• Preparing and maintaining test environments.
• Performing functional, application, and regression testing.
• Applying software development life-cycle principles and software development methodologies.
• Interpreting requirements and updating test documentation accordingly.
• Analysis, planning, and management reporting.
• Working directly with customers during testing cycles.
• Collaborating with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Managing multiple responsibilities and competing priorities.
• Demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience testing healthcare applications.
• Experience using Katalon for test automation.
• At least two years of experience with the Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and its document templates.
• At least two years of familiarity with enterprise information architecture and information-management methodologies.
• At least two years of familiarity with current and planned software technologies, architectures, and infrastructure components at the global, regional, and local levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
• Identify and prioritize test scenarios based on application requirements and business risk.
• Create detailed test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test-execution schedules.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate test environments and test data.
• Perform functional, application, integration, and regression testing.
• Analyze test results and document defects, risks, and testing outcomes.
• Track defects through resolution and conduct retesting as required.
• Interpret business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Update testing documentation when requirements or application functionality changes.
• Design and maintain documentation for automated testing processes.
• Apply software development life-cycle principles and appropriate testing methodologies.
• Work directly with HHSC stakeholders throughout the testing cycle.
• Develop an understanding of the customer's business processes and assigned application areas.
• Prepare testing status reports, metrics, plans, and management updates.
• Collaborate with technical and nontechnical teams while managing multiple priorities.
• Independently plan and complete complex assignments using sound judgment.
• Recommend improvements to testing practices, automation coverage, and quality standards.
