About The Position

Syllo is hiring a QA Automation Engineer to build and own its test automation framework. The role focuses on expanding maintainable automated test coverage for Syllo’s litigation platform, which helps legal professionals use language models and agentic AI throughout the litigation lifecycle. The engineer will develop core framework components used by internal AI test-writing agents, improve the reliability and speed of continuous integration test suites, and perform targeted manual testing as automated coverage grows.

Requirements

Significant professional experience in QA Automation, Test Engineering, or Software Engineering with a strong quality focus.
Hands-on proficiency with modern test automation frameworks and API test frameworks.
Strong programming skills in languages such as JavaScript or Python.
Experience integrating and debugging automated test suites in modern CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions.
Ability to design comprehensive test scenarios that uncover edge cases, race conditions, and integration risks, using techniques such as boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning.
Strong foundation in software testing methodologies, including test planning, defect lifecycles, and deciding what to test before how to automate it.
Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience collaborating with or reviewing code generated by AI coding assistants or autonomous agents.
Familiarity with containerized testing workflows such as Docker and cloud-based test runners.
Experience testing data-intensive SaaS applications, document processing systems, or complex enterprise workflows.
Sharp code review skills and bug-finding capability.

Responsibilities

Convert high-value regression suites into maintainable automated tests.
Engineer and maintain fixtures, selectors, and reusable components consumed by internal AI test-writing agents.
Monitor test run performance, optimize suite execution speed, and triage flaky tests to maintain trust and signal in CI pipelines.
Take on assigned technically challenging automation flows and steadily expand scope and technical judgment.
Identify framework gaps, tooling bottlenecks, and requirement ambiguities early to prevent blockers and keep code reviews moving smoothly.
Perform targeted manual testing to safeguard product quality while automated coverage expands.
