About The Position

This is a hybrid contract role for a QA Analyst with expertise in TOSCA and ETL. The role involves developing and executing test cases, participating in test planning, and collaborating with the development team to ensure software quality throughout the Agile product lifecycle. The analyst will be responsible for all levels of testing, including functional, integration, and regression, as well as designing and executing automation scripts. Ownership in end-to-end testing and defect tracking are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math)
Minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience in Software Testing
Working knowledge of DB testing on Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, Unix and Autosys
Good experience with developing test suites using TOSCA Automation tool
Able to apply test strategies with 3+ years of experience in data analysis
Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, ETL technologies
Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries using Joins
Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
Working knowledge of test management software (Ex: qTest, Octane, JIRA)
Familiar with the life cycle of projects (SIT, UAT)
Hands on agile experience
Excellent verbal and written skills, to include advanced interpersonal and proven presentation skills
Ability to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basis
Ability to be self-directed to complete assigned activities
Strong problem identification and solving skills
Strong communication skills
Prior experience of working with globally distributed teams
Experience in Banking domain

Responsibilities

Develops detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements
Contributes to test planning, and when part of a Scrum team, builds test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteria
Participates in test case reviews and makes necessary updates
Builds and uses test data required to accomplish execution of test cases
Executes test cases, including manual and automated tests, and records test results
Test new and existing features, debug code (units and integration) and report errors and failures
Work collaboratively with the development team for defect triaging
Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression)
Design, develop, execute automation scripts
Ownership in end-to-end testing
Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies; provide timely solutions
Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentation
Ensure that all the standards and process are being implemented within a project
