TOSCA Automation Engineer

About The Position

This role involves day-to-day QA activities with a strong emphasis on automation testing. The engineer will be responsible for building automation scripts and frameworks from scratch using Tricentis Tosca, and developing/maintaining automated test suites using Selenium with Java. Manual testing will be performed when automation is not suitable. The position also includes acting as a Test Lead for assigned workstreams, which involves coordination rather than people management. This includes partnering with developers, product owners, and QA peers, gathering testing requirements, defining execution plans, owning test scope and strategy for releases, identifying automation-suitable test cases, and working with formal test plans and defect tracking tools. The role requires testing applications under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and communicating clearly with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience in a formal QA/QMO environment
  • Strong Agile/Scrum experience (Web required; Mobile preferred)
  • Hands-on experience building automation frameworks and scripts
  • Tricentis Tosca
  • Selenium with Java
  • Hands-on Java coding
  • Experience working independently, making day-to-day decisions without constant guidance
  • Strong understanding of QA processes, defect management, and test lifecycle
  • Excellent communication skills (this is critical)

  • API testing experience (Swagger, REST APIs)
  • CI/CD exposure (Jenkins, UCD)
  • Front-end framework familiarity (Angular, React)
  • Version control tools (Bitbucket)
  • Performance and/or security testing experience
  • Experience with functional, performance, and test management tools

Responsibilities
