About The Position

Kodland is an international online coding and digital skills school that helps children aged 5 to 17 take their first steps into programming and technology. The Python instructor delivers fun, interactive lessons using provided materials and helps students create their first projects and develop their programming skills. The role also involves reporting on student progress, sharing lesson feedback, contributing creative ideas, and attending training and support sessions. This is a part-time freelance position with no fixed or guaranteed income. It is fully remote, requires at least 10 hours per week, and offers flexible hours arranged by the instructor.

Requirements

• Intermediate-level Python experience.
• Availability of at least 10 hours per week.
• Enjoy teaching and connecting with children and young people.
• Fluent English at C1 level.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekday availability from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. or weekend availability from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sydney or Singapore time.
• Successfully pass a digital skills test demonstrating coding abilities.
• Stable internet connection of at least 20 Mbps, a webcam, a headset, and a quiet workspace.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fun and interactive Python programming lessons using provided materials.
• Develop teaching and other skills under the guidance of experienced Kodland teachers.
• Share feedback about lessons with the Kodland team.
• Regularly report on student progress and help improve the learning experience.
• Represent Kodland positively and contribute creative ideas to support students.
• Attend training and support sessions provided throughout the hiring process.
