About The Position

Atkore is seeking a PVC Production Supervisor (Night Shift) to be based in Thomasville, GA. This role reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for supervising production associates involved in manufacturing PVC Pipe & Conduit products. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, with a strong preference for experience in plastic pipe/conduit extrusion.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in plastic pipe/conduit extrusion strongly preferred.
High energy, strong work ethic, schedule flexibility, and ability to work additional hours based on business needs.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, including conflict resolution.
Continuous improvement background (lean, WCM, GMP, etc.) and the passion to grow your lean experience.
Ability to thrive in an environment focused on problem solving throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Lead using the Atkore Business System and Lean Daily Management within their teams and utilize Lean tools for improvement projects focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity performance.
Develop plans and implement strategies to improve the engagement, alignment, and performance of the production team members.
Instill and maintain a positive “can-do” team atmosphere within the team by holding regular team meetings, assigning tasks to team members, empowering team member decision-making, and coordinating support services.
Implement cross training activities to ensure proper function of the production lines and maximize team’s potential.
Develop and coach team members with necessary skills to identify problems and challenges, perform root cause analyses and implement countermeasures and solutions as necessary.
Control and optimize labor, materials and equipment utilization to achieve production goals.
Ensure team members are meeting safety standards, production schedules, and quality specifications.
Manage vacation schedules and overtime.
