Production Supervisor- Night Shift

About The Position

Pretium is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily shift operations and ensure the smooth, efficient production of plastics products. The supervisor works from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am on rotating days and must be flexible to cover for other supervisors as needed. The role is responsible for food safety, food quality, and site safety.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the plastics industry.
In-depth knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes and equipment, with a focus on Beckum-branded equipment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage a team with varied work styles and personalities, with a strong presence on the plant floor.
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems arising during the shift.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Proficiency with IQMS, MS Office (especially PowerPoint), and other relevant software applications.

Nice To Haves

Blow molding and/or injection molding experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee shift operations, including production schedules, staffing, and quality control.
Ensure employees follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Train and mentor new employees.
Monitor production processes and address issues or bottlenecks.
Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to shift employees.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to help keep processes and products competitive.
Be responsible for food safety, food quality, and site safety.
