About The Position

This position is within the Power Generation Division, responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. The role will be based out of the Mondu Solar in the Baton Rouge, LA area. The employee will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, AC/DC inverters on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. The role involves maintaining all tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition, performing inspections of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for solar arrays and inverters. Inspections are performed daily for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing inverters from producing grid power. The candidate will support teammates in nearby states in the region and maintain reliability, operations, and maintenance for assigned sites.

Requirements

• High School Grad / GED
• 1+ years of experience
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
