About The Position

This position is part of the Power Generation Division, responsible for NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. The role is based out of the Pierce County Energy Center in the Pierce, NE area. The employee will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, and AC/DC inverters across multiple solar power plants to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations. Responsibilities include maintaining tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition, performing inspections for fluid system breaches, mechanical component issues, and electrical component failures that prevent inverters from producing grid power. The candidate will also support teammates in nearby states and maintain reliability, operations, and maintenance for assigned sites.

The Site Technician will support the Regional Manager or designee to ensure the perfect execution of PGD processes. Site Technicians in a solar region perform duties including safety, contractor management, electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, overall site operations, asset management, regulatory compliance, reliability engineering, and inventory management.

Requirements

• High School Grad / GED
• 1+ years of experience
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
