PV Solar Field Technician II (Singer)

About The Position

This position is part of the Power Generation Division, responsible for NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. The role is based out of the Singer Solar in the Derrider, LA area. The employee will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, AC/DC inverters on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. This includes maintaining all tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition, performing inspections of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for solar arrays and inverters. Inspections are performed daily for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing inverters from producing grid power. The candidate will also support teammates in nearby states and maintain reliability, operations, and maintenance for assigned sites.

Requirements

• High School Grad / GED
• 1+ years of experience
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
